On the afternoon of June 28, as an academic exchange activity of the 15th anniversary of friendly exchanges between Dalian University of Technology and Inha University of South Korea, the academic seminar of biomedical engineering discipline of the two universities was successfully held online. This event was the first academic exchange between the two sides in the field of biomedical engineering, which laid a good foundation for the establishment of further cooperative research between the two sides. Wu Chengjun, Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering of Dalian University of Technology, Liu Bo, Wang Hongkai, Xu Hongming, and other teachers, as well as Jaeseon Lee, Soonjo Kwon, Bong Sup Shim, Jong-Ho Cha, and other professors related to the discipline of biomedical engineering of Inha University in Korea, attended the meeting.
Professor Wang Hongkai and Professor Bong Sup Shim delivered speeches on behalf of the two sides respectively, introduced the composition and research characteristics of the two sides, and presided over the following academic exchange activities. The academic presentations are in a friendly sequence, Professors Jong-Ho Cha, Wang Hongkai, Sejin Son, Xu Hongming, Jiyoon Bu, Wu Chengjun, Minhye Shin and Liu Bo delivered wonderful academic reports on cancer therapy, artificial intelligence biomedical signal and image processing, systems biology and biosensors, respectively. A total of 75 people from both sides participated in the online exchange, and the exchange atmosphere was friendly and warm. In the end, Professor Jaeseon Lee, the leader of the Biomedical science and Engineering department of Inha University, made a concluding speech. The two sides jointly look forward to offline exchanges and visits after the epidemic is over, and further promote academic cooperation and research between China and South Korea.
